Technical roles

2023 — present Boston, MA

Founder & Lead Engineer

Rescue Reach

  • Designed and built a UAV sensor-fusion platform that aligns FLIR thermal imagery to 16-beam LiDAR and runs a dual-stream CNN detector on a Jetson Nano for survivor detection under debris
  • Implemented LOAM-inspired real-time SLAM so the system maps and navigates in GPS-denied environments
  • Reached roughly 85% detection in simulated-rubble testing with sub-second end-to-end inference, about 30% better than the 2D baseline I compared against
  • Designed ReachLink, the mobile coordination layer: geofenced alerts, shelter routing, and moderated crowd-sourced reporting
  • Built ReachOne, a wearable multi-arm robotic prototype for responders, currently in movement testing
  • Wrote and presented the research as a poster and talk, with mentorship from engineers at Robostreet and Universal Robots
  • Thermo Fisher JIC Top 300
  • IEEE Top Innovator Award
  • MSEF 3rd place, 2026

Research Intern

U.S. Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine (USARIEM)

  • Supported research on environmental and physiological resilience under the supervision of senior scientists
  • Worked with experimental datasets and followed established research and testing protocols
  • Studied how human performance is measured and modeled under extreme environmental conditions
  • Observed how applied research is designed, conducted, documented, and interpreted in a federal laboratory setting

Team Member, Drone Team

Saint Anselm College

  • Designed, built, and flew drones as part of a college drone team
  • Collaborated on flight operations, payload integration, and mission objectives
  • Applied hands-on robotics and aviation practice that carried directly into my own UAV work
2021 — present Boston, MA

AI & Clean Energy Intern

Robostreet

  • Worked alongside engineers developing autonomous electric vehicles, gaining exposure to how commercial autonomy programs are structured
  • Assisted with data analysis and systems testing
  • Observed AI-enabled transportation development from prototype through demonstration
  • Represented the company at conferences and industry events, explaining technical work to non-technical audiences
