Massachusetts Academy of Math and Science at WPI
Mass Academy is a highly selective public STEM school located at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, admitting students from across the Commonwealth. The curriculum is advanced and accelerated in mathematics, science, computer science, and engineering, and it is built around independent research — students design and carry out their own projects with faculty and university guidance, and senior year coursework is taken at WPI itself.
Being on a university campus is the reason I'm reaching out to labs now rather than later. The school assumes students will do real research, not simulate it.

Dover-Sherborn High School
Where I took my first engineering and computer science courses, started competing in science fairs, and began the work that became Rescue Reach.
02 Programs
Research programs & fellowships
Selective programs that shaped how I work — most of them outside of school, several of them multi-year.
Summer 2025 · Natick, MA
USARIEM Research Internship
Research internship at the U.S. Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine, supporting work on environmental and physiological resilience. My first experience of how a federal laboratory designs, runs, and documents applied research.
2020 — present · Cambridge, MA
Girls' Angle @ Google
Long-term mathematics mentorship covering geometric modeling, algorithmic design, and Desmos-based simulation. Five years of being asked "why does that work?" by people who actually wanted the answer.
July 2024 · Boston, MA
GrubStreet YAWP Fellowship
Selected for GrubStreet's competitive Young Adult Writers Program fellowship. Published original work with professional mentors and designed the anthology cover.
2022 — present · Cambridge, MA
Science Club for Girls
Junior Mentor teaching coding and applied science to middle-school students, with a focus on keeping girls engaged in STEM through the years when many stop.

What I like studying
Robotics & mechatronics
Where design decisions have physical consequences you can't argue with.
Artificial intelligence
Particularly perception and decision-making rather than generation.
Applied mathematics
Geometry, algorithms, and modeling — the part that makes the rest possible.
Data science
Getting an honest answer out of messy experimental data.
Creative writing
Poetry and essays. It's the same editing muscle as technical writing.
Global studies
Context for why a technology helps in one place and fails in another.
